Block paving

Block paving.

Herringbone, stretcher bond or a contrasting border. Classic paving laid on a solid, well-drained bed.

Driveway finished with a block-paved border on a Chadderton street

Block paving gives you pattern, colour and the option to lift and relay a section if you ever need to.

We lay it on a compacted sub-base and screeded sand bed, cut every edge cleanly and finish with kiln-dried jointing sand and a plate-compaction. We use quality blocks from suppliers like Tobermore and Marshalls, and we're just as happy laying a contrasting border around resin or tarmac.

FAQs

Block paving questions.

Do block paving driveways get weeds?

They can between the joints over time. A good compaction, kiln-dried sand and a sealer keep weeds to a minimum, and a jet-wash and re-sand every few years keeps it looking new.

Can you mix block paving with resin?

Yes, and it looks great. A block border around a resin driveway is one of our most popular finishes.
